O’Connor Sutton Cronin was appointed by McGarrell Reilly Group to provide the mechanical, electrical, energy and sustainability services on the Barnwell Point residential scheme in Hansfield involving the delivery of 247 cost-rental apartments under The Land Development Agency’s (LDA) Project Tosaigh.

The scheme provides 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments and duplexes, adjacent to Hansfield Train Station and short walk to Ongar Village. In addition to the provision of the residential units, 272 car parking and 400 bicycle spaces were also provided as part of the development.

The project consisted of a central energy centre distributing heating and hot water throughout the development with the plant rooms constructed off site and installed on skids. The on-site double substation provides power throughout, including the integrated electric car charging systems with generator backup covering essential and life safety requirements.
