OCSC’s transportation planners utilise a complete range of traffic modelling software from Visum for wide area macrosimulation studies, through Transyt for urban networks and on to Vissim for microsimulation studies. We have completed large scale Traffic Modelling and Cost Benefit Studies for major road schemes on wide areas up to 100 square kilometres.
OCSC have undertaken major Traffic Impact Assessments for new urban developments including projects with daily person trips of up to 10,000 persons. We provide specialist advice to public bodies and private clients including advising developers through complex planning processes and through negotiations with municipal and highways authorities in addition to traffic modelling OCSC provides a range of services in Mobility Management Planning and the development of Sustainable Travel Plans for both the public and private sectors. OCSC’s transport planners have completed many urban transportation and Traffic Management Studies including advising national governments on transportation policy, assisting municipal authorities on the design of public transport priority projects, public realm design and measures to assist vulnerable road users including the design and provision of cycleways, quality bus corridors and light rail projects.
