On behalf of Louth County Council and working with Anthony D Bates Partnership LLP, O’Connor Sutton Cronin is undertaking the design, tender and supervision of maintenance dredging at the Annagassan Harbour, County Louth.

The harbour comprises an approach channel, quay walls, vessel berths, slipway and breakwater. The build-up of silt and sediment over time has restricted access to the port and reduced the mooring capacity of the harbour by up to 80%. This project aims to open both the access channel and the entirety of the mooring to a reduced depth of 1.9m above Chart Datum resulting in the removal of approximately 9,000 cubic metres, to be confirmed by a bathymetric survey, of material to a licensed disposal facility.
