O’Connor Sutton Cronin were delighted to host the inaugural Sciencebatter event as part of the Stoneybatter Festival—a series of engaging, TED-style talks delivered by scientists and researchers living and working in Stoneybatter. The event took place last Saturday morning in the town hall area of our head office, giving many of our neighbours their first glimpse inside our workplace.

The talks covered a wide range of fascinating topics, from deciphering text codes and tracing the origins of our pets to a hands-on music conducting workshop, water management in society, headline analysis, and respiratory health research. Our Group Managing Director, Martin Mc Grath, also explored the connection between consulting engineering, the science of building, and children’s play. Judging by the enthusiasm of the younger attendees, we may well see some future engineers inspired by the day.

A special thanks to the voluntary Stoneybatter Festival committee for organising such an impressive event. As Stoneybatter’s largest private employer, we were pleased to play our part in supporting this vibrant community initiative.
