Exciting progress is underway as Limerick City and County Council (LCCC), in partnership with Thomond RFC, has commenced works to expand the club’s grounds at Fitzgerald Park, Moyross.

O’Connor Sutton Cronin is proud to be delivering the full engineering design services for this significant upgrade, supporting Thomond RFC’s growing membership and enhancing local sports infrastructure. Led by the Regeneration, Sports & Recreation Directorate at LCCC and carried out by Martins Construction Ltd., this project is funded by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage under the Limerick Regeneration Framework Implementation Plan.

The expansion includes a full-sized IRFU-compliant rugby pitch, a new training area, construction of a new boundary, demolition of existing boundary walls, new paths, and steps, as well as foul drainage and utility diversions. With completion expected in early 2026, OCSC is delighted to help deliver state-of-the-art facilities that will benefit the club and wider community for years to come.
