The redevelopment of the iconic Clerys building, originally constructed in 1922, and its surroundings on Dublin’s O’Connell Street will regenerate and reactivate the urban fabric and greatly enhance the evolving architectural rejuvenation of this part of the inner city.

Clerys Quarter is located in the heart of Dublin’s City Centre on the premier thoroughfare, O’Connell Street. Offices at Clerys form an integral part of this exciting mixed-use City Quarter.

  • The redevelopment will include the creation of a pedestrianized street at Earl Place and the addition of new hotels, restaurants, cafés, tea rooms, bars, and a spectacular rooftop hospitality venue with panoramic views of the city.
  • This unique opportunity combines the best of tradition and progress and creates an emblem for the future of Dublin adding life and vibrancy to its surrounding streets.
  • The OCSC Mechanical and Electrical Team completed the full M&E design for Landlord areas as well as shell and core provision for future retail units.
  • The OCSC Sustainability Team completed the BER and Part L analysis, on a block-by-block level, as well as at an individual unit level for Clery’s, ensuring BER and Part L targets will be achieved. Overheating analysis was completed to ensure the façade design will result in comfortable levels within the glazed top floor level while retaining the desired architectural aesthetic. G-Value analysis was also completed as part of the overheating analysis, ensuring excessive solar gains do not penetrate the space, leading to occupant discomfort. The site’s architecturally protected status was allowed for in all stages of analysis.
  • The Clerys project is targeting the highly coveted LEED Platinum certification for concentrated efforts towards sustainability. OCSC’s Sustainability team guided the client and design team through the requirements and brought added value to the project through energy efficiency advice and sustainable material selection.
