Since our founding in 1988, O’Connor Sutton Cronin (OCSC) have had a long involvement in the design of Industrial Buildings for a wide variety of Manufacture, Processing & Distribution facilities. Currently, we have commissions for over 4 million ft² of Industrial type buildings and parks at varying stages of completeness going through our Practise, ranging from current build on-site, delivery of primary infrastructure to allow follow-on sites to develop or sell, to Planning achieved and finally at pre-planning stage. These in-turn range in size and use, from complex Pharma Facilities to Logistics Parks to one-off “Sheds”.
Part of the fast response required for delivering such buildings is out ability to be dynamic in our thinking and adaptable to change with the times. OCSC was amongst one of the first Consulting Engineers in Ireland, leading the long span Pre-Cast (PC) concrete Industrial buildings and we now find ourselves to be again, the first Consulting Engineers in Ireland involved in the more sustainable building approach using Mass Timber, including both Glulam & CLT (cross laminated timber) as the main structural components. Conscious of the Carbon footprint such buildings can generate, we at OCSC have developed the skillset to deliver new and more sustainable buildings to support our Clients agendas in producing near zero energy buildings (NZEB).
