We are delighted to share the progress and construction of the Greenway route along the bank of the Royal Canal which is approximately 2.1km in length between North Strand and Phibsborough Road. The project aims to offer residents and visitors alike a route to explore Dublin’s historic canal and enhance the city’s recreational infrastructure. As seen in the photos, the new concrete ramp structure at Russell Street Bridge is starting to take shape and once finished, will facilitate easier access for future pedestrians and cyclists.

The first section of the Greenway, Phibsborough Road to beyond Lock 3, is reaching its final stages and will be open to the public to enjoy in the near future.
