Royal College of Surgeons Ireland

This project comprises a new 12,000m² Education and Research Building on St. Stephen’s Green. The building will be 7 storeys over a double basement and includes a link bridge to No. 26 York Street which OCSC previously completed with RCSI.

The 11m deep basement excavation lies between a 1750s Richard Cassels designed protected structure, the 1850s-built Unitarian Church, and the LUAS green line. OCSC is providing Civil and Structural Design Services. Excellent progress has been made so far which includes bulk dig, piling, and rock anchoring which was completed with the new RC frame construction which is well underway. Well done to the whole team involved on the excellent progress that has been made so far.
