Embassy Gardens is a new mixed-use development in the Nine Elms area of London. Wrapping around the new US Embassy, the proposed 2,600,000 sq ft development comprises a mixed-use community of apartments, office space, retail and leisure, a hotel, a grocery store, and flexible work and community space.
The development includes :
• 2,000 new homes
• Potential for up to 600,000 sq ft of office space
• In excess of 100,000 sq ft of retail and leisure
space
• New Embassy Plaza
• All set in a new linear park linking Vauxhall with
Battersea Park
The Sustainable Design Strategy for this development includes :
• Employing Code for Sustainable Homes level 3 & 4 across all residential units.
• 40% reduction in CO2 emission is envisaged, achieved via on-site low-energy technology, by
integrating CHP.
• The energy centres including CHP and district heating will help give the scheme fuel security and
future-proofing that allows new technologies to be installed.
