Piper’s Hill Residential Development is located on the south side of Naas in Co Kildare. The proposed development covers 22.65 hectares and consists of 408 residential units of three, four- and five-bedroom townhouses, and semi‐detached and detached dwellings.

OCSC was appointed as Civil and Structural Engineers Quantity Surveyors and PSDP for the scheme. The scheme involved the realignment of the R448 Kilcullen Road from Naas to the scheme entrance, the provision of all civil and structural design elements incorporating internal roads, drainage, wastewater pumping station, a bridge, BCAR certification, and all associated ancillary design elements.

  • The associated civil works with the residential development included approximately 1,300m of a serviced roadway to access the development and provide access through the development.
  • OCSC completed a full design of all civil and structural elements for the scheme and liaised with our Client and the Local Authority from preliminary design through to handover. Additional collaboration was required with all relevant third parties and utility providers from any early stage of the design process. This early dialog ensured that all agreements were put in place and there were no adverse effects on the program as a result. 
  • The development was designed in accordance with the Eurocode design Codes and loadings. The residential units consisted of a mix of residential housing plans with four options of floor plans in suspended slab and four options of floor plans on ground bearing option. Slabs are 150mm thk typically for the ground bearing option and 225mm thick for the suspended slab.
