OCSC were appointed as Civil / Structural engineers for the redevelopment of Glasswater Locks which opens up a new gateway between Birmingham’s Eastside and the city’s vibrant Learning Quarter. Its selection of contemporary canal-side apartments and duplexes are located moments away from the city Centre and high-speed rail links.
- Re-development of a 1.28 hectare site
- The project consisted of the construction of 753 apartments
- 10-38 storeys in height over basement
- Basement is formed with a combination of sheet and contiguous pile walls
- The external facade is a mix of brick cladding, GRC and clip on balconies
