This development is one of the most modern developments in Dublin city today with best-practice planning put into action the development has progressed on the basis of producing a new urban village on the edge of the city in Castleknock, Dublin 15. The development consists of 2100 new apartments, 365 new houses, an 18-acre park, and a new town center.
- The houses comprise 2 to 3-story, terrace, semi-detached, and detached houses of standard domestic construction. The apartments are generally 3, 4 & 5-storey blocks over a single basement car park.
- Construction commenced in 2005. Phase 1 which consists of 750 apartments at the eastern end of the site and was completed in 2012. Phase 2 and 2A commenced in 2015 and were completed in 2018.
- Phase 2 comprises the construction of 143 houses that are now complete and occupied.
- Phase 3 consists of 258 Parkside apartments in 12 blocks of 4 to 6 storey units. This is currently on-site.
O’Connor Sutton Cronin & Associates worked as part of the Design Team and co-ordinated efforts seamlessly with all other design disciplines during the design and construction phases of the project. Furthermore, O’Connor Sutton Cronin carried out regular on-site inspections during construction to ensure a high-quality and compliant build was delivered.
