Rosslare Europort Terminal 7 is a major port infrastructure development delivered by the Office of Public Works to provide a permanent Border Control Post and Customs Control Facility. The project supports post-Brexit customs, sanitary and phytosanitary checks, official food controls and wider port operations, helping to protect Rosslare Europort’s strategic economic role and support its future growth.
The development comprises a new 9,360m² terminal facility across a 19.5-hectare site, incorporating 28 buildings, inspection and control facilities, upgraded access routes, utilities, security infrastructure and associated civil works. Delivery also required extensive enabling works, demolitions, service diversions and phased construction within a live operational port.
OCSC provided Resident Civil and Structural Engineering and quality compliance services as part of the site supervisory team. Our role included reviewing technical submissions, inspecting construction works, monitoring quality and compliance, managing non-conformance reports, maintaining site records and supporting progress reporting.
Working closely with the Employer’s Representative, contractor, design team, port stakeholders, utilities and Irish Rail, OCSC also supported health and safety monitoring, utility-interface management, snagging, handover and close-out documentation. Our involvement provided independent technical oversight throughout the delivery of this complex, high-value infrastructure project.
