Dublin Arch is situated on lands adjacent to Connolly Station and bounded by Sheriff St Lower, Commons St, and Oriel St. This major regeneration and redevelopment project extends to circa 111,000sqm and will include six office buildings, two residential buildings with 187 units and a 200-bed Hotel. 

• Phase one of the development will include the construction of 42,67 sqm of commercial space over two office buildings (Block A and E) with space for 10 retail units and a hotel (Block D3). The buildings range in height from nine to 13 storeys. 
• A particular engineering challenge in the development is the construction of four office buildings up to 11 stories in height directly above existing railway sidings. This is being achieved by the installation of 21 steel transfer trusses that support the buildings and are typically 4.4m tall, span 26m, and weigh 130 tonnes each.
• Another interesting feature of the site is the presence of 19th-century protected stone vaults under Block A and E; OCSC designed building support solutions such as intramural columns which are hidden in vault walls to minimize the impact on these important historic structures.

OCSC are providing a range of multidisciplinary engineering services on development including Civil, Structural, Environmental, Transportation & Sustainability Engineering from feasibility through planning, design, and construction. OCSC is delivering this project for our client using BIM Revit Software which allows for detailed design team coordination and clash detection.
